(New York, NY) – On Sunday, October 23, Douglas Elliman Real Estate kicks off the fourth annual Ride to ReInvent, a 100-mile bike ride to the company's annual sales conference at the Borgata Hotel in Atlantic City, NJ. The two groups of riders will help generate awareness and necessary funds for God’s Love We Deliver (God’s Love). Led by Max Dobens, Senior Regional Executive Manager of Brooklyn for Douglas Elliman, this ride is part of the company’s philanthropic efforts to help others who are less fortunate. The goal this year is to raise $250,000 for the charity. God’s Love We Deliver is the leading provider of life-sustaining meals and nutrition counseling for people living with life-altering illnesses who are unable to provide themselves. With the help of 10,000 volunteers annually, the organization prepares more than6,200 meals each weekday and delivers them throughout the New York metropolitan area free of charge. “When looking for a charity to partner with on the ride, I wanted one that everyone could relate to - God’s Love is food and Douglas Elliman is shelter,” said Max Dobens, Senior Regional Executive Manager of Brooklyn for Douglas Elliman. This is two organizations fulfilling two basic needs, working together and it’s a natural fit. “I am in awe of Max and everyone involved in the Ride to ReInvent,” said Karen Pearl, President & CEO of God’s Love We Deliver. “To bike 100 miles is no easy feat, and to do so to support a charity, is even better! We thank everyone on Team Elliman who bikes to raise awareness and funds for God’s Love – this team is going the distance for our clients living with severe illness, so that we can go the distance to deliver them nutritious meals. ”The event began in 2013 when Dobens made the trek alone raising $3,508 for the cause. Last year 28 riders rode for God’s Love We Deliver and raised a total amount of $181,225. The company wide ride brings together agents from Connecticut, Westchester, Aspen, LA, Florida, Long Island and New York City and more than75 riders will be participating this year in both the 100 mile “Century”ride or the 35 mile “Sprint” ride.
