Christopher Burns
Douglas Elliman
Christopher Burns is a member of the top-producing Samantha Behringer Team at Douglas Elliman. He's a native of northern Westchester County and started taking the train to Manhattan by himself when he was 12 years old. He was fascinated by the city- it's vibrance and architecture and history. He's now lived in NYC for over 25 years- in neighborhoods; uptown, downtown, east, west and places in between. His nuanced lived experience and knowledge of Manhattan and Brooklyn enables him to offer insights and facts to his clients about the vast and varied NYC landscape.
In addition to his vivid knowledge of the city, Chris has a degree in Organizational Coaching from NYU- a skill set that will offer great value in helping and guiding his clients toward clear, calm, decisive thinking and actions in support of their real estate goals and interests.
Chris has also worked in the world of travel/hospitality and has owned and operated a massage therapy business for 15 years where customer service is paramount. He also worked in the NY theater as an actor/director- he's an award winning playwright and has developed fictional content for television.
Chris holds degrees in Theater from Rutgers University, in Coaching from NYU, and in Medical and Sports Massage from The Swedish Institute of Massage in NYC.
The ideal life for Chris would be centered on boundless travel and always learning something new. He reads two newspapers a day to stay current and informed and has been riding a bike around NYC for all the years he’s lived here- well before there were bike lanes!
He's also lived passages in Argentina, Italy and Los Angeles.
His mantra: Always be honest. Always be kind.
Chris' inherent desire to help people, his deep knowledge of NYC and all of his previous professional/life experience make being a real estate agent a perfect fit!
