Shashi Anand is the newest inductee into the Simonsen Team at Douglas Elliman. Astute businesswoman, pioneer, and game-changer, Anand founded and successfully ran an apparel business, Blue Plate, for the last 30 years. Her life story is truly rags to riches – in 1975, she emigrated to New York from India as a 25-year old widow and mother of two, with a high school degree and $80 in her pocket. She is now ready for her next adventure, and ready to bring the same excitement to New York Real Estate, her second love (her first love being New York City, the city she credits her success to).
