Originally from Indiana, Chandra combines honest Midwestern charm with a dash of New York edge. She has called New York home for nearly two decades—ever since she fell in love with the city as a Columbia grad student in 2001. Now a seasoned New Yorker, she divides her time between the city and her home in Southampton. Prior to Douglas Elliman, Chandra set the stage for her real estate career as a client relations manager to high-profile New York executives. Chandra’s current clients now benefit from her detail-oriented approach, clear communication style, and exceptionally high standard of customer service. She is also a firm yet fair personable negotiator. Chandra developed a strong knowledge of interior design and property development working alongside a respected real estate developer in East Hampton for multiple years—a role she’d ultimately leverage into a career in real estate sales. In addition to cultivating a discerning eye for aesthetics, Chandra learned the fundamentals of international sourcing and mastered the art of staging a home to showcase its maximum potential. Her responsibilities included coordinating with clients, architects and subcontractors, attending site visits and reviewing installations. Outside of real estate, Chandra is a registered yoga instructor and practitioner, which has equipped her with the ability to handle stressful situations with aplomb. She is also a dog lover, and owns and operates a successful boutique pet-care business in Midtown Manhattan.
