Susan Pea has had a long-standing interest in real estate that inspired her to get her license in 2004. She purchased and sold personal properties over the years in New York and Florida, and took to real estate professionally working for a local brokerage office in Forest Hills while raising her two children.
Prior to joining the industry leader, Douglas Elliman, Susan acquired seven years of financial services experience in the banking and brokerage industry at Merrill Lynch. She earned the Series 7, 63 and Life & Health Insurances licenses as well, and honed her customer service skills helping to manage people and a large portfolio of assets. Her background in finance and investment allows her to capitalize on her knowledge of the markets to benefit clients as they make major life decisions.
“I provide expertise, guidance and support for my buyers and sellers,” says Susan, who is extremely detail oriented, responsive and communicative. “For buyers, it’s critical to know how much they can afford and how that translates to meeting their needs in a home. Selling is also an emotional event, and one that requires many steps to streamline the transaction while getting the best price possible. My goal is to walk my clients through the steps and educate them on what’s involved so they feel calm, confident, and in control during this stressful yet exciting undertaking.”
Susan graduated from Baruch College in NYC with a major in Finance and Investment and minor in Economics. She lived in Queens for many years and has called Northport home since 2012. Susan loves the serenity of her community, the schools, opportunities her two children have to enjoy so many activities, and proximity to the beach. In free time she enjoys gardening, hiking, pursuing real estate investments, and learning in general.
Professionally, Susan continues to advance in her field and is pursuing three designations this summer: Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), Short Sales and Foreclosure Resource (SFR), and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES). Personally, she is a Scoutmaster for Troop 539 in Kings Park, a Girl Scout Leader for Troop 684, a member of the Parent Teacher Associations, and member of the Northport Chamber of Commerce.
