Carrie Bassel

Born and raised in Montreal, Canada, Carrie graduated McGill University with an Honors English Degree and came to New York in 1999 where she attended Cardozo Law School. Her successful career began at Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy in Manhattan where she spent several years as corporate litigation associate, eventually moving on to AIG as Assistant General Counsel. She left the law to attend culinary school and focus on her family. Since early 2000 Carrie has had a love affair with the Hamptons, making her first real-estate purchase in Bridgehampton in 2005. She goes back and forth between Manhattan and Long Island on a weekly basis. Carrie is an accomplished equestrian having competed in local New York horse shows, including the Hampton Classic.
Fluent in French and English, she joined Douglas-Elliman Southampton in 2015 as a natural extension of her legal career and cosmopolitan lifestyle. She embodies the DE global marketing philosophy constantly travelling abroad and throughout the U.S.
