As Douglas Elliman’s premier commercial broker in the Hamptons, Esther Paster brings a unique blend of real estate expertise to her clients. With 20 years as a top-producing broker, Esther specializes in sales, investments, development, property management, and retail/office leasing. In the residential arena, she has brokered houses, vacant land, subdivision developments and oceanfront estates.
Esther’s analytical approach and negotiating finesse have generated an impressive client roster ranging from corporate America to local business that includes Merrill Lynch, Wells Fargo, Hamptons Magazine and Southampton Hospital. Although her geographic focus is the Hamptons, Esther has transacted sales in New York City and other areas of Long Island. She plans to be licensed in Florida.
In addition to her association with Douglas Elliman's Southampton office, Esther is President of Peconic Bay Realty, a development/leasing/management firm (founded by her late husband Arnold Paster) overseeing a commercial portfolio of retail and office buildings in Southampton and East Hampton.
Early in her real estate career Esther was selected to represent the Republic of the Philippines for the sale of the Marcos Estate on Long Island. Prior to joining Douglas Elliman, Esther had a distinguished career as a highly successful broker with The Corcoran Group.
Esther earned a B.A. and M.A. from New York University (including a year at Hebrew University of Jerusalem) and continued her doctoral studies at Columbia University. She is a Member of the Board of Architectural Review and Historic Preservation for the Village of Southampton, a Member of the Board of Directors of the Southampton Arts Center, and active in numerous charitable organizations.
Prior to her career in real estate Esther owned a boutique New York City travel agency specializing in corporate and bespoke travel. An adventurous traveler and talented photographer, Esther’s images are familiar to many on the East End.
