About Gabriele (Gail)

Gail Bishop has an extensive background in sales management and as an instructor teaching a wide range of subjects on behalf of the Long Island Board of Realtors as well as other groups.

She is a state certified instructor and has been thru formal NAR and HUD training programs on Legal Risk Reduction, Lead Disclosure, Agency and Fair Housing issues. She has served as LIBOR’s VP for Suffolk and as Board Treasurer. She has been a director for a number of years and has served on almost every Board committee and has chaired most of them including Education, Risk Management, Equal Opportunity, Fair Housing and Public Relations.

She has been a featured speaker on behalf of LIBOR at Newsday Housing Expos, area Fair Housing Conferences and at various Realtor meetings throughout the Board area on Legal Risk Management issues. She was invited to speak before the Nassau County Bar Association on Buyer Brokerage.
Gail serves on State level committees including Article 12A Working Group; Education; Fair Housing and Cultural Diversity where she has served as Chair. She has also served on National level committees including Risk Management and currently Equal Opportunity and Cultural Diversity

She has conducted the Board’s Orientation Course for new broker members for over fifteen years and is a past recipient of LIBOR’s Realtor of the Year award and in 2011 was awarded the LIBOR Realtor Lifetime Achievement Award.

She has managed the Douglas Elliman East Islip office since 1998 leading a group of positive and enthusiastic agents.
