This nonprofit environmental education organization is dedicated to educating children and adults in the New York metropolitan area, protecting and preserving Alley Pond Park and advocating for sustainable environmental policies. Alley Pond Park is the home of the Douglaston Estate Windmill, originally built around 1870 on the Douglaston peninsula to pump water to the farms in the community.

This scenic marina is the place for boating, but it's also great for jogging, biking, and strolling. A footbridge near 28th Avenue connects the two.

This park on Little Neck Bay features the aquatic-themed O'Rourke playground and water park, ball fields, tennis courts and a basketball court as well as lots of green space. A mile-long stretch of the park's 45.8-acres of land on the shores of Little Neck Bay features paths for jogging, walking, and biking as well as benches for exercisers to rest or enjoy the view.
