About Craig

Craig Nicewicz brings a solid knowledge of the Boston residential marketplace, extensive experience negotiating complex transactions, and a highly-principled approach to doing business to Douglas Elliman’s Back Bay office, where he looks forward to utilizing the company’s sophisticated resources to better serve his clients.

Craig’s philosophy is fairly straightforward, and it guides him through all his dealings with clients – from the first meeting, to the handshake at the close of a deal. He is an intuitive listener with a keen attention to detail and a respect for discretion. He maintains that there is no such thing as being overprepared and stays up-to-date with the quickly changing Boston real estate market so that he can effectively inform his clients. He believes that, at the core of a successful business relationship, there is a foundation of trust, respect, and loyalty. And, he understands, appreciates, and acknowledges that the real estate journey can be complex and sometimes challenging for people to navigate – and he strikes just the right tone when addressing that.
“I think that one of my strengths is my sense of humor and positive energy. Buying or selling a home is an exciting experience, and I balance the seriousness of the process while inviting my clients to enjoy themselves as much as possible. I understand the emotions involved and help to guide individuals while honoring the personal feelings they have towards the process.”
Craig works primarily with buyers and sellers in the luxury and mid-range urban residential market in Greater Boston. When engaged as the listing agent, he tailors his marketing plan to most effectively reach and present the home to prospective buyers. “Nuanced marketing is essential to matching a buyer to the home.” When engaged as a buyer’s agent, he does his homework. “Knowing the market trends for that neighborhood, that building, or even that SIDE of the building is vital before entering a conversation. Beyond simple comps, understanding of the building, past owners, appreciation over time, and the value of specific upgrades is imperative to guiding clients to an appropriate offer. I arrive at these conversations with the documents and data in hand.”
Before pivoting to residential real estate, Craig was the Operations Manager for the federal courts in the Commonwealth.
In his free time, Craig enjoys time with his family on the slopes, the beach, or just playing with their dog in the yard at home. He enjoys the occasional home improvement project, restoring vintage cars, good food, and excellent wine.
