Noyac Real Estate

Perched on Noyack Bay, the hamlet of Noyack is part of a chain of tiny bay-front communities located in the township of Southampton on the South Fork of Long Island. Hilly and wooded, yet beachy with open bay views, Noyack is probably best known for the sandy beach and calm waters of Long Beach, popular with families. Trout Pond is also a favorite for a cool freshwater dip or a walk along surrounding trails.

A must-visit highlight that exemplifies the rare natural seaside habitat that makes up much of the area is the Morton Wildlife Refuge. This 187-acre peninsula on Noyack Bay contains 50-foot bluffs rising from tidal flats, glacial kettle-holes and fresh and salt water marshland transversed by winding pathways. It is home to a protected ecosystem of wildlife that includes many small birds, waterfowl, wild turkeys, cormorants and Long Island ducks as well as other small animals. Accustomed to living in this protected habitat, birds like sparrows and chickadees will eat birdseed right out of visitors' outstretched hands.

Some of the South Fork's best sunset and Shelter Island views can be had here, from Noyack's beaches and hills as well as from traditional fisherman's cottages, built in the same style they always have been, fitting in with the tranquil landscape.
