Diverse Real Estate Agent Joins Company’s Miami Beach Office
MIAMI BEACH, FL (December 17, 2015) – Douglas Elliman announces the addition of Tara West as a Director of Luxury Sales at the company’s Miami Beach office located at 1111 Lincoln Road, Suite 805. In her position, West will work closely with the team on all luxury commercial and residential projects including resales, preconstruction and single family homes. West brings with her a new project -OceanFront Townhomes 9501 - with townhomes starting from $3,750,000. Located directly on the beachfront of Miami, and adjacent to the internationally acclaimed Bal Harbour Shops, 9501 Collins Avenue is comprised of seven luxury four-story residences. Currently, Tara is the Director of Sales for Arte Surfside, an oceanfront luxury boutique condominium consisting of 16 private residences by Italian architect, Antonio Citterio and developed by Sapir Corporation. Prior to Arte Surfside, Tara was the in-house Sales Executive for Pritzker Award winning architect, Jean Nouvel's Monad Terrace waterfront project located in South Beach.
During 2015-2018, West served as the hosted for an international real estate TV show, SELLING MEGA MANSIONS, where Miami's most luxurious properties were featured and their listing agents.
West has a diverse background with 16 years experience specifically in the real estate industry and 20 years in sales, marketing and strategic development in various business fields. The majority of her real estate career has been spent working on luxury projects in Miami and Europe. Before her current role, West worked at Sieber International Realty where she oversaw the sales of luxury residential and commercial properties in Miami. Prior to that, she was director of development for Engel & Volkers where she managed all projects in Miami, Boca Raton, Ft. Lauderdale, Palm Beach and Canada. In 2012, West was a project manager at the Twenty Two Group managing and compiling information for the Hermes building, which was awarded a Gold level LEED certification in November 2012, an initiative she spearheaded.
Previously, West worked for the Florida Green Home Design Group where she assisted in developing an ultra-luxury, eco-friendly house, considered to be the greenest house in the U.S. as well as the first Platinum LEED house on Miami Beach. The property won more than 20 awards and set a record for the highest residential price point on Alton Road. Tara spent some time in sales and marketing working for IMI Living where she held positions selling and marketing Viceroy Residences and Resorts in South Beach and Mediterra Real Estate Limited in Crete, Greece, as Director of Sales for the first condo-hotel waterfront villa resort built in Greece at price points beginning at 5,000,000 Euro. She began her real estate career in 2003 at Fortune International Realty where she served as sales director for several preconstruction projects and oversaw all marketing and public relations efforts.
Prior to entering the world of real estate, West worked in public relations at Weber Shandwick, a leading public relations firm, where she managed several high-profile campaigns for corporate and non-profit entities. She also worked for the U.S. Senate and U.S. Government as an environmental policy analyst and public affairs specialist for the Department of Agriculture and a budget planning liaison for the Office of Management and Budget.

West earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Political Science from East Carolina University in Greenville, NC and her Master’s degree in Public Administration and International Business from American University in Washington DC. She became a licensed agent in South Florida in 2003 and is a Certified International Property Specialist as well as a Luxury Home Specialist in the state of Florida. Tara currently resides in Miami Beach.
