Kravis Center for the Performing Arts

This enormous, beautiful, well-funded arts center recently celebrated its 20th Anniversary season with more than 350 performances in a variety of genres. The Kravis Center is home to the Miami City Ballet, Palm Beach Opera and the Palm Beach Pops.


 

Norton Museum of Art

Norton Museum of Art is one of the most exciting cultural gems in West Palm Beach. Its collection consists of more than 7,000 works of art, including paintings by Impressionist Mary Cassatt and Abstract Expressionist Jackson Pollock. The Ann Norton Sculpture Garden includes the Norton home, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and more than 100 works of art by Ann Weaver Norton.

This West Palm Beach institution deserves respect: Opened in 1987 and inhabiting Clematis Street before it was cool, it holds the title of longest-running nightclub in the southeastern U.S. Primarily a dance club and live music venue, Respectable is South Florida's go-to spot for indie, classic new wave, and progressive dance music. Art shows and other cultural events are held here, too.
