Doug Waechter

Doug Waechter brings a wealth of knowledge to the Elliman Florida team gained from over 38 years of living and working in the St. Pete area. Born and raised here, Doug has strong connections to the local community and to local professional sports.

A 12-year veteran of professional baseball, Doug spent six of those years playing Major League Baseball for the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, Florida Marlins and Kansas City Royals before moving into sports broadcasting prior to his transition into professional real estate. Doug brings the same work ethic that led him to pitch a complete game shut out in his first major league start to his real estate career, and has quickly made a name for himself among the area’s most discerning clientele. The consummate professional, Doug easily navigates even the most challenging deals with discretion and an open and honest client approach.

Today, Doug's extensive knowledge of properties across Downtown St. Pete, Old Northeast, Snell Isle, Venetian Isle and the surrounding areas of Tampa Bay allow him a unique perspective on our diverse market. His consultative and comprehensive approach ensures that his clients have the complete picture from the financial details and legal expertise to the local businesses, schools, etc. that come together when choosing a home. “I always provide my clients with whatever they need to make the best decision for their investment,” says Doug. “There is no question too big and no detail too small. An avid outdoorsman, Doug enjoys boating and fishing and spending time with his wife and children. He remains connected to his beloved baseball community through public relation activities and TV broadcasts with the local Major League team, and also as a youth baseball and softball coach for his two kids. Doug and his family currently make their home in Waterway Estates, St Petersburg.
