A veteran of the real estate industry whose motto is “the client comes first,” Richard Santiago understands the challenges his clients face. “Buying and selling a property can be a stressful experience,” he says. “I take that burden off the client’s shoulders by handling all aspects of the deal for them, while keeping them fully informed and developing a personal relationship built on trust.”

Richard, who previously worked for one of New York City’s foremost residential real estate attorneys as a Client Service Representative, knows a home is not only likely to represent the largest investment in a family’s life but is also certain to become the place where they’ll create a lifetime of memories together.

“Douglas Elliman is synonymous with quality, luxury, and service,” says Richard, who holds real estate licenses in Florida and New York, “and I’m proud to be a member of their elite team of professionals.” He takes inspiration from knowing that the real estate business pushes him to constantly improve, continue evolving and keep himself at the forefront of innovation.

Prior to entering the real estate industry, Richard was a Senior Counselor for the Children’s Aid Society, where he served underprivileged inner-city youth. He currently volunteers as a Development Officer with Out My Closet, an organization dedicated to assisting and educating poor and distressed LGBT youth and adults.

Born in the Dominican Republic and raised in Manhattan, Richard is bilingual in English and Spanish and currently resides in Miami Shores with his spouse and their two pet Labrador Retrievers. The couple treasures family time and love entertaining family and friends.
