Mr. Ahearn assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer of the Boston Division after the acquisition of Otis & Ahearn by Douglas Elliman in 2018. Mr. Ahearn was the President, Founder and Sole Owner of Otis & Ahearn, Inc. Otis & Ahearn was established in 1978, when Mr. Ahearn purchased the William F. Otis office and renamed the company.

Mr. Ahearn has been active in both general brokerage and new development sales and marketing for over thirty years. Under Mr. Ahearn’s direction, Otis & Ahearn served as the exclusive sales and marketing agent for many of the city’s most successful and premier developments. Completed projects include Trinity Place, The Belvedere, Atelier 505, Residences at InterContinental Boston, W Boston, and Residences at Mandarin Oriental Boston (778 Boylston St. apartment conversion).

Mr. Ahearn is a lifetime resident of Massachusetts, receiving a B.S. from Boston College in 1970. Following graduation Mr. Ahearn was a member of the United States Hockey Team that won a Silver Medal at the 1972 Winter Olympic Games and subsequently played professional hockey for the New England Whalers franchise. He presently resides in Boston’s Back Bay with his wife, Maggie Ahearn.
