FRED COLEMAN
ABOUT FRED
BACKGROUND:
Before joining the elite Real Estate team at Douglas Elliman of California to manage the Palm Springs office, I was an assistant manager at Prudential California Real Estate - Studio City, Manager of Prudential California - Real Estate West Hollywood from 2011 to 2103, and, from 2013 to 2018, the manager of Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties - Santa Monica office. I am excited to bring my experience to Douglas Elliman in Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley!
I am a native Californian, having been born in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles back when it was filled with Orange Groves, and it only had one area code - the 213. Growing up, I made regular getaways to Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley that I now make my home.
EXPERIENCE:
I have been selling real estate since September 1995.
I graduated college with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Marketing in 1992.
Originally, I studied Biochemistry at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, but transferred to Cal State Northridge where I switched to Business. To pay my way through college, I sold women's shoes at Bullock's full-time while attending school full-time. I was hired fresh out of college by Robinsons-May/Macy's as an executive in the buying offices. But after 3 years of buying fashion 50+stores, I left the corporate world for the exciting life of Real Estate!
I started practicing real estate at a small boutique office in Studio City (Los Angeles), where, by my second full year, I had found my calling and was a top agent. Then in June of 1999, Prudential recruited me as part of their expansion into LA to help open a new office in Studio City.
Seven years later, we had expanded to over 120 agents in Studio City alone, with 18 more offices in the L.A. Area. During that time, I have consistently merited top award recognition each year for Outstanding Production.
HOBBIES:
I love to travel and explore the world. I have been to 53 countries and counting.
I have been a competitive bowler - bowling a 300. I am also an avid card player, particularly Bridge. I love paddle tennis (not ping-pong, this is like a cross between squash and tennis).
I work out and run religiously (about 4 miles 3x's a week) to counteract my second or third greatest love…eating! (See me on my 5Ks on Facebook). I have 2 adorable Dachshunds - Buster and Sport, and a wonderfully supportive husband.
