Familiar retail stores co-exist with unique local specialty shops, and dining options are many, including Indian, Mexican, Spanish, Italian, Greek, Chinese and new American at more than 40 local restaurants, cafes and gourmet markets. Homes here vary as well, from condominiums and single-family homes to sprawling mansions in the wooded hills above town. In April 2007, Mount Kisco was named the best family town in Westchester by InTown magazine, which remarked that, "...while the town earns points for making the glamorous life so convenient, it's the down-to-earth vibe that launched this woodsy hamlet to the top."
