Vanessa Kitchen

Vanessa Kitchen is a dynamic real estate professional who is dedicated to developing relationships, meeting goals and delivering the best possible service to her clients. Her previous experience in real estate on the West Coast inspired Vanessa to pursue this career in a city that she is so passionate about, and her past experience in communications and marketing serves to make Vanessa a fantastic and driven representative of her client’s properties.

Today Vanessa works with Joan Swift, the #1 Individual Agent at Prudential Douglas Elliman in 2011, and supports her in their thriving residential sales business. Joan specializes in high end luxury properties including townhouses, lofts, co-ops, condos and new developments. Joan and Vanessa work tirelessly to ensure that their clients receive the highest level of customer service and get the maximum return on their investment. Vanessa’s role is to ensure that buyers and sellers are always getting the undivided attention and support they need.

Vanessa holds a B.A. in Psychology from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine, and an M.A. in Journalism from New York University. Since graduate school, Vanessa has developed extensive experience in public relations and marketing, using her writing skills to further promote her clients. After working on everything from hedge fund analysts to beauty products, her writing and “people skills” remain her two greatest strengths, as her discretion and her marketing knowledge of how to best attract customers to a property. Vanessa owns a 3 bedroom condominium in Murray Hill, and is extremely familiar with all of New York City’s diverse neighborhoods and what they have to offer.

Vanessa grew up in San Francisco, California, in the “family business” of real estate, assisting her mother, one of the nation’s top producers, in marketing and sales at TRI/Coldwell Banker, as well as assisting other agents. Her father and sister are real estate attorneys and all of her siblings have worked in real estate in one form or another. Her family has moved 18 times (all houses in the same neighborhood), so Vanessa is certainly well-versed in the process of renovation, buying and selling!

Outside of work Vanessa enjoys writing, reading, pilates and traveling.
