About Me

A direct descendent and 13th generation member of one of Southampton's founding families, lifelong Bridgehampton resident Steve Halsey is unmatched in his vast knowledge of the East End market, residents and communities both past and present. Steve's market insight is matched by his unique appreciation for the natural beauty of the Hamptons - a place he believes is without question one of the most beautiful areas of the world. Furthering Steve's incomparable area knowledge is his experience not only in the construction industry as an electrical contractor for many years, but his former membership of both the Southampton Town Board and Southampton Town Zoning Board of Appeals, which has armed him with a deep understanding of our local government's land use regulations. Steve has also been privileged to serve as the Long Island Representative to former New York State Governor George Pataki. After many years in contracting, it seemed more than natural that Steve would turn his talents and expertise to real estate. "I understand how to recognize quality construction, which is essential in making a house not just a home but a good investment as well, and can guide clients toward the proper selection of a property. My years in customer service and quality control have proven invaluable in helping people make the one of the largest purchases and biggest decisions of their life." A graduate of Lycoming College with a degree in Business Administration, Steve has also volunteered his time as a firefighter with the Bridgehampton Fire Department for the past 35 years. He has additionally served in the capacity of Department Chief for four years, and has held many other offices within the Department.
