At Douglas Elliman, Rick's distinctive and refreshing approach to real estate focuses on people's needs and desires, and places results over all else. Rick's philosophy is that in order to facilitate a successful transaction both the buyer and seller must get what they want. Also the realization that no two deals are alike and regarding each transaction as its own entity is just one of the attributes that sets Rick apart from the crowd. Buyers and sellers alike continue to be impressed with Rick's ability to skillfully negotiate and to get prepared parties to the closing table.

It's not lost on Rick that purchasing a piece of property in New York City can be overwhelming and quite complicated. With hundreds of successful transactions to his credit, Rick is able to deftly navigate the various personalities, paperwork, and procedure along the way to a successful sale. Matching the ideal buyer with the perfect property is the focus of Rick's work.

As a 16 year resident of New York, Rick is intimately familiar with the diversity and intricacies of each neighborhood. This knowledge enables him to be acutely aware of the best buildings and residences available at any given time. To the experienced Manhattan developer or real estate investor, Rick's ability to pinpoint and anticipate market and neighborhood trends is an invaluable tool in analyzing and choosing properties for purchase. Rick's clients have successfully purchased and profited from many well received projects including 15 Central Park West and the Time Warner Towers. Also he boasts a roster of clients that have successfully bought development land or buildings in emerging areas such as Harlem, the lower eastside, and Long Island City.

A native of Tampa, Florida, Rick moved to New York in 1992 to pursue a recording career after graduating from the prestigious Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee. While pursuing his musical career, Rick enjoyed success in a number of other areas including the ownership of a voice-over studio and a three and a half year stint at Windows on the World as head bartender. Rick's songwriting talents eventually paid off with hits in Germany, Austria, Switzerland & Japan.

Rick, along with his team of experts, helps to assure sellers and buyers that maximum attention is being paid to their concerns. The Kelly Team has implemented an efficient system of checks and balances to anticipate and handle any issue that may arise from listing to closing.
