About Me

Working with both buyers and sellers, The Lily Birnbach Team, has a proven track record of impeccable service, professionalism, marketing expertise and a commitment to customer service.

Lily Birnbach and Shari Pels are a dynamic mother/daughter team, who are energetic, enthusiastic licensed real estate sales people waiting to find you the perfect home or to sell your current one. Whether you're an empty nester or just starting your nest, this unique team, who specializes in residential sales all over Manhattan and the North Shore of Long Island, loves a challenge and won't stop until they've reached their goal.

Lily was born in Greece until her family relocated to the United States, when she was five years old. She took advantage of every opportunity she was given, graduating with a BS in Mathematics. She received a MS in education and was a teacher for a short time. She worked in operations and finance in the garment industry, before starting her career in Real Estate. A good question for Lily would be "What hobbies don't you have?"! She is an excellent chef, extraordinary knitter, determined golfer and avid gardener, where her garden really does grow in Great Neck, New York. She also loves to travel the world.

Most people do a double-take when meeting this team as it is not very obvious who is the mother and who is the daughter. This fact has given Shari a slight complex, but she gets over it considering she has the genes too. Shari graduated from Syracuse University with a BA in Sociology. Shari lived in the Gramercy Park area while working for a domestic textile firm, selling predominantly to Women's Sportswear and Dress manufacturers. Her flair for design, and style along with her love and knowledge of NYC made Real Estate the logical next career.

Spending a day with these ladies is never dull, and usually lifts your spirits at least a few notches. With Douglas Elliman's resources, they have access to all available listings on the market. Using their teamwork, experience and organizational skills, buyers and sellers receive the best customer service from beginning to end. Some quotes from satisfied customers sums their team effort up perfectly, "I just wanted to thank you for ALL your help finding me my beautiful co-op. With limited time from my insane schedule, there was a good chance I would never have found a place on my own. You really found me a gem", "I want to thank you for your professionalism, attention to detail and your terrific positive demeanors. Although, I was a bit tough, I really appreciate the two of you.", "Just wanted to send a note to say thank you for everything… It was such a pleasure working with you both. I appreciate all your time, patience and advice!".
