About Me

Today, it's imperative to combine old-fashioned values with the most modern marketing technology and that is why Joseph Baker recently joined Douglas Elliman. It's a good marriage. Like the company itself, he has been putting the consumer first, with over twenty-five years of hard work, integrity, service, and attention to details.

For buyers, he provides his clients with the most up-to-date availabilities and accurate market information to facilitate an educated purchase. For sellers, his goal is to achieve the highest price, in the quickest time, with the least hassle. His ultimate goal for both buyers and sellers is to make the real estate process as seamless and painless possible.

Why Douglas Elliman? This privately-held company offers a breadth of services unmatched by any other real estate company in New York: residential, office, and retail. The company is the number one real estate firm from Manhattan to Montauk and enjoys 98% brand awareness in the USA with international affiliates around the globe.

While competitors are getting by with old technologies, Douglas Elliman invests for the future. The company is the leading advocate for transparency in the marketplace, and its new inaugurated listing system literally puts the consumer in touch with not only every apartment for sale, but also the most accurate market information anywhere.

Joseph Baker moved to New York City to pursue studies in Near-Eastern archaeology. He then graduated with an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Columbia University's Graduate School of Business. He knows Manhattan inside and out.

Upon getting his real estate license, his sales experiences have run the gamut: from office buildings, multi-family residential buildings, blocks of residential apartments, loft buildings, and homes running the gamut, ranging from studios to 14-room apartments on Park and Fifth Avenues, from townhouses on the Uptown and Downtown to an 8,000 sq.ft. condominium downtown. He has also rented a great many Manhattan apartments, including notably the triplex penthouse at 1009 Fifth Avenue, as well as a 4,000 sq.ft. Tribeca penthouse with 3,100 sq.ft. of outdoor spaces.
