A veteran brownstone Brooklyn real estate specialist and consistent top producer recognized for outstanding sales volume, Jerry Minsky has enjoyed a successful real estate career that has since 1986 grown as quickly as the market he represents. Jerry came to Douglas Elliman after a long stay with The Corcoran Group, where he initially helped shape the Park Slope then spearheaded the launch of the firm's Fort Greene location. He was not only responsible for exposing Brooklyn's tremendous growth areas (namely Fort Greene Clinton Hill and Stuyvesant Heights) to individual buyers, sellers, investors and developers, but helped escalate downtown Brooklyn's appeal as a world-class living destination. Jerry's list of impressive credits and achievements is The GreeneHouse project in Fort Greene, a $28 million development he oversaw from start to finish, and for which he raised the bar to an incredible $40 million when all was said and done. Jerry's expertise has also been called upon to handle several new high-end luxury development projects in and outside of Brooklyn.

A native Brooklynite, Jerry is often called upon as a valuable real estate resource for such publications as New York Magazine and The New York Times. He is a longtime brownstone owner who lives in Fort Greene resident with his wife Aida, a local educator in Park Slope, and two children - Ephraim and Ruby. Also a former educator and history student, Jerry enjoys educating people on the real estate process as he does helping buyers and sellers achieve their goals, and promoting the integrity of Brooklyn's most interesting and historic areas. Backed by a psychology degree from Pace University and an MPA in Public Administration from Baruch, Jerry understands the importance of going the extra mile for his clientele to achieve total satisfaction. When not hard at work, he and his family also spend time outside of the city at their home on Long Island's North Fork, another area in which Jerry has taken a keen interest.
