WHO IS JACKY TEPLITZKY?

If you answered “E” you would only be partially right. Because while Jacky is all of the above, she is also much more. Let’s explain.

Born in Santiago, Chile, Jacky and her family moved to Israel when she was a little girl. Her father, a soccer player who visited Israel during the Maccabi Games, fell in love with the country and upon returning to South America, announced to his young family that they were moving. And so they did.

Fast forward, from those humble beginnings emerged a force of nature—a strong, talented and determined woman who would be professionally successful and personally satisfied. Fluent in English, Spanish and Hebrew, Jacky first worked at an international travel and tourism company based in Tel Aviv, then was hired by an international company based in Spain, then London and finally New York. In Manhattan, she became attracted to a new career…in residential real estate. Her business acumen, along with domestic and global expertise, would be a perfect fit for real estate’s diverse clientele—whether they were buyers, sellers or investors here in New York, in Miami, across the country or overseas.

Fast forward again. Jacky was named “Rookie of the Year” by MLB Kaye. The Corcoran Group came calling and during her tenure with the fabled company, she was always among the top 25 producers in the firm. Next up was Prudential Douglas Elliman (PDE), where president and CEO Dottie Herman personally asked her to join. And, no surprise, she is a stand-out.

And, for the third consecutive year, it was among the top 10 in residential sales throughout the whole Prudential Real Estate Network. The Wall Street Journal also ranked them among the top 50 teams in the U.S. in 2010. Jacky was named a “Legend.” The award only goes to elite brokers who are among the firm’s top 100 producers for five consecutive years and are within the top 1% of the company’s 64,000 sales professionals.

Jacky, a noted philanthropist who is an active supporter of the UJA Federation of New York (where she is a member of the Lion’s of Judah, the Women’s Executive Circle and vice chairs the UJA’s Professional Women’s Philanthropy division) and WIZO, which provides for the welfare of women, children and the elderly is regularly called upon by local and national media to speak about residential real estate. She has appeared on television (“Good Morning, America,” NY1 News, CNN en Espanol and Bloomberg TV), in print (The Wall Street Journal, The New York Post, The New York Times) and online (Univision.com, curbed.com, Reuters.com). Often approached by industry leaders and peers regarding business strategies and counsel, she is a recognized speaker and coach, leading seminars at The Real Estate Board of New York (her classes are credit-approved, as she is certified by the Department of State), Yeshiva University, Barnard College, Inman Connect, The Real Estate Academy, Citibank Private Banking, 92nd Street Y and New York University. Jacky is a registered speaker with the Brokers Agent Speakers Bureau.

In her private life, Jacky’s down time is spent with her sons. As a family, they took part in several fundraisers to support Chilean earthquake victims and have collected and distributed pajamas as part of their relationship with the Pajama Program, a charity that provides sleepwear to children in need. She and her husband are active in their sons’ school, Riverdale Country School, and in Park Avenue Synagogue.
