About Me

Jan Hashey, born and raised in Boston, attended Rhode Island School of Design received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Massachusetts College of Art, Bachelor of Arts and Master of Fine Arts from Yale University. After living in London for ten years, she returned to the States and continued her painting career. Her work is included in public and private collections internationally, and is represented in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art, and the National Gallery of Art.

Jan, who has been in New York for twenty years, began an active Real Estate career in 1989. She has consecutively been one of the top 20 brokers since joining the Douglas Elliman family in 1996. In 2004 Jan was the #6 Residential Broker in New York City, and #10 Residential Broker Nationally. In 2007 she was the #2 residential broker in New York City. She is an expert in the sale of lofts, townhouses and buildings for private use, investment, conversion, and for major development projects. In 2008 Jan was the 7th Residential Broker in NYC

She is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, and has served as a trustee of the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation and as a member of the Board of Trustees of ICI, Independent Curators International.
