Henry Hershkowitz has spent years counseling New York’s top developers who have entrusted him to advise on layout, unit mix and consumer preferences, as well as oversee their buildings’ creative positioning, brand strategy, and design and management of their Sales Offices. These projects included some of the most notable and prestigious projects built in recent history including Shigeru Ban’s Metal Shutter Houses, Gwathmey Seigel’s Soho Mews, Polskek Partnership’s Chelsea Enclave, KPF’s One Jackson Square, and Asymptote’s 166 Perry.

Henry’s unique blend of sales, creative, strategic, marketing, public relations and legal skills brought his clientele of developers quite notable results. At 166 Perry Street alone, he closed almost $80 million in sales during a particularly hard market; and most recently at 123 Third Avenue, he sold over 90% of the building in the span of just five months!

Henry is a native New Yorker who has lived Eastside and Westside, uptown and down, and has a keen understanding of all NYC neighborhoods. A licensed attorney, he received his BA from Columbia College and JD from NYU School of Law. Prior to entering the world of NYC Real Estate, he practiced law on Wall Street (Hughes Hubbard & Reed), opened acclaimed restaurants and movie theaters (The Dining Room on the Upper Eastside and The Screening Room in TriBeCa), and was the Executive Creative Director of an iconic American brand (Stetson). A passion for design led Henry to act as general contractor in the building of his restaurants and movie theaters, plus he has successfully renovated multiple NYC apartments and several historic upstate homes. An arsenal of some of the city’s finest interior designers, contractors, architects, and craftsmen fill his Rolodex and are ready for referral to his clients.

Henry’s honest, no-nonsense style, acute legal knowledge and fierce professionalism make him the person you want on your side of the deal. His education and experience have helped hone his unparalleled negotiating skills and his understanding of the entire process of buying or selling a home in New York City, making for swift and seamless transactions. A caring and patient man, Henry lives in the Village with his partner and their six-year-old twins.
