As a marketing professional for 25 years, I see the residential transaction as a happy occasion for both the seller and the buyer. My skills make the entire process smooth and satisfying for all concerned.
FOR THE CLIENT: Within the time frame a SELLER wants, my strategy is to attract buyers for whom the residence has the most appeal and is therefore worth a premium.
FOR THE CUSTOMER: A first-time BUYER, an upsizer, or a downsizer, deserves a thorough search of what suits their tastes and resources, day to day, and guidance toward a successful purchase.
QUALIFICATIONS: My experience has everything to do with people making decisions in a marketplace.
I started as a consumer motivation specialist for an industrial design firm, following service in Germany after an A.B. from Cornell, and went on in management consulting to direct hundreds of planning projects for corporations and agencies.
I was a Course Leader for many years in marketing research and related subjects; my article “Customer Buying Behavior” is in the AMA Management Handbook; from 1990 to 1994 I was active in the American Marketing Association New York Chapter.
ALONG THE WAY, I ran a couple of New York-based businesses: a brokerage of short-supply commodities in the seventies; and, in the eighties, a company that produced and marketed video programs for new college graduates.
Commerce is not my only bent—the first play I wrote was performed and I did “The Four Poster” overseas. Edward Hopper paintings capture my own visual sense of New York and jazz is my musical scene.
REAL ESTATE: In 1984, the tenants in my building chose me to lead the fight for better terms in the Offering Plan. In 1990, my explanation of residential price trends was printed in Barron’s financial weekly. In 1998, I dealt with the stream of buyer prospects for the apartment I lived in – and then the intense search to find a new home. I know how it feels.
Now licensed and a member of the Real Estate Board of New York, I present properties that sellers offer and I guide customers to what fits their dreams and their financials. It’s a pleasure to share with all of them the romance of Manhattan.
